Aldebaran is the brightest star to be found in the constellation of Taurus, also known as the Bull’s eye. Aldebaran (al-dabarān) is the Arabic word for ‘The Follower’, because from Earth it looks like this star is following the star cluster Pleiades.

I made this clip two days ago, to illustrate some of the beautiful elements of this constellation. Then today I was standing in a back garden some where here in the North, I could see Taurus’ very clear. So clear that I could see (eyes only) the stars inside the shoulder and besides/behind Taurus Red Eye.
